Each piece is hand formed using native shale clay. The paint used is an iron oxide paint mixed with boiled spinach. The paint used for colors are natural sand pigments strained to clay form.

Indian Fair & Market Mission

The mission of the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market is to provide a marketplace for American Indian artists, provide a unique cultural experience for the public, create an enjoyable work environment for the volunteers, and to raise funds for the Museum’s general fund.
