Hello. My name is Monica Glasses and I am a 6th generation Navajo weaver. I live in Rough Rock, Arizona which is located in North-Eastern Arizona on the Navajo Nation. I started weaving when I was 12 years old and I took a long break until I moved back to the reservation 10 years ago. I am proud to say that I am grateful to be continuing my mother’s weaving. I enjoy rug weaving and creating textile rugs; it gives me strength, comfort and this how I support my family.
