Life is full of funny situations, brilliant color, and amazing artists that are important influences and subjects of my work. I enjoy using art to point out humorous contrasts, quirky juxtapositions, and work plays. Using traditional artforms I explore contemporary issues to bring people into discussions. My Jewish and Tlingit heritage have offered me two worlds of inspiration, and more presents itself every day. I received my MFA from CalArts, but art has always been a vital part of
my family and my life.
